What Should You Do In Case Of Loss?
In case of a loss, you can call GIG Sigorta Customer Relations Center at phone no. 444 12 44 or make a claim notice at iletisim@gig.com.tr
- You shall be required to provide following information during claim notice in order your claim to be registered
- Policyholder's name & surname, title,
- Policy No.,
- Loss date,
- Detail of the loss ( cause, cost etc )
Documents Required for Notice of Claim
Claims for Travel Cancellation/ Delay/ Interruption
- Travel ticket photocopy,
- ID Card / Passport photocopy,
- Photocopy of passport pages showing the entry and exit stamps of the destination country and ID information of passport owner including photograph,
- Photocopy of passport pages showing the visa of the destination country,
- Original invoices for expenses incurred due to flight delay,
- Travel Tour Agreement
- Original invoices and payment receipts proving payments to the tour company,
- Cancellation invoice / reimbursement voucher issued by the tour company,
- In case of canceled trips, medical examination report/ epicrisis report/ death report for Policyholder's spouse/ mother/ father/ child and official document showing the relationship,
- If due to a Natural Disaster, written approval from relevant competent authority regarding the nature and period of the natural disaster,
- Copy of Compensation Declaration Form filled in complete form.
- Personal Data Processing Consent Form or Commercial Electronic Message Consent Form.
Repatriation
- Travel ticket photocopy,
- ID Card / Passport photocopy,
- Photocopy of passport pages showing the entry and exit stamps of the destination country and ID information of passport owner including photograph,
- ID card/passport photocopy and signed bank account information of the person payingg the funeral costs,
- Death report,
- Certificate of Death,
- Certificate of Permission for Transfer of Dead Body,
- Original invoices for funeral expenses (casket, transport etc.),
- Copy of Compensation Declaration Form filled in complete form.
- Personal Data Processing Consent Form or Commercial Electronic Message Consent Form.
Luggage Loss/Delay and Personal Effect Loss Claims:
- Travel ticket photocopy,
- ID Card / Passport photocopy,
- Photocopy of passport pages showing the entry and exit stamps of the destination country and ID information of passport owner including photograph,
- For luggage loss or delays, luggage loss report issued by the relevant airline,
- Detailed list including prices for lost items for luggage and personal effect losses,
- Purchase invoices for belongings contained in the luggage,
- Original invoices proving your urgent needs due to luggage delay
- Document showing whether the airline company has made a repayment due to luggage loss,
- Letter confirming loss of luggage issued by the airline company after the deadline for search period,
- Copy of Compensation Declaration Form filled in complete form
- Personal Data Processing Consent Form or Commercial Electronic Message Consent Form.
Medical Treatment Claims:
- Travel ticket photocopy,
- ID Card / Passport photocopy,
- Photocopy of passport pages showing the entry and exit stamps of the destination country and ID information of passport owner including photograph,
- Epicrisis/physician's report including the health complaint, medical story, diagnosis and applied treatment, all medical analysis and examination results and prescription,
- Original invoices and payment receipts for payments made to healthcare facilities,
- Copy of Compensation Declaration Form filled in complete form.
- Personal Data Processing Consent Form or Commercial Electronic Message Consent Form.

How Does the Process After Notice of Claim Work?
We provide you your claim file number after receiving your notice of claim. Please note your claim file number since you will need it to follow up your entire procedure.
You should submit all required documents as soon as possible to expedite the claim assessment process.
