Why Do You Need It? 

Costs for replacement parts and labor shall be covered in case your mobile phone which you frequently use during your daily life gets damaged due to an accident (breakage, contact with liquids, voltage, etc.).

Insurance Period

Insurance period is 1 year. You can purchase a new policy after 1 year by retesting your device.

Are accessories (earphone, charger) included?

No, accessories are excluded.

Where to Apply in Case of Device Failure or Damage?

Just call GIG Sigorta Call Center to file a notice of claim.

Can You Use Any Technical Service Center for Repairs?

No. Only authorized technical services determined by GIG Sigorta for this insurance can be used.

Where to Send Your Device for Repair?

This may vary depending on the brand of your device. The shipment code you can use for free of charge shipment to the authorized service shall be shared with you during creation of your claim file.

What if Your Device Is Not Repaired?

Insurance amount specified on your policy shall be paid to you after application of the deductible percentage in cases where your device cannot be repaired or repair shall not be economically reasonable.

If your device is replaced by an authorized service out of insurance coverage, will your policy continue?

Yes, in case of loss you should present the document indicating such replacement.

Information & documents required during creation of your Claim File

You can use our Call Center for all procedures with your citizen ID number without further need for any documents.

Period for notice of claim after a loss is realized

You should make a notice of claim within 5 days.

Does your policy provide coverage for abroad?

In cases where you temporarily take your device to a foreign country, your policy shall provide coverage limited to 30 consecutive days following departure from Turkish customs station.  Also, repair service cannot be provided in foreign countries.

What to do if your device is stolen?

In case of theft, you should promptly call GIG Sigorta Call Center without further delay after you become aware of such theft and enter e-Government system (www.turkiye.gov.tr) to make a notice of theft under lost/stolen notice section (https://www.turkiye.gov.tr/btk-kayip-calinti-ihbar-bildirimi) in accordance with Article 58 of Act no. 5809. You can also use BTK Consumer Communication Center (120) can be called for lost/stolen notices.
